Back in May, alongside announcing the availability of their line of Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards, Asus also mentioned their selection of Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 cards would arrive later.
That date is now and Asus has unveiled more about their ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4060, Dual GeForce RTX 4060 and ProArt GeForce RTX 4060.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is an entry-level graphics card that is the ideal choice for gamers with a limited budget who want an upgrade to their ageing graphics card.
It uses the latest Nvidia Ada Lovelace GPU architecture and supports technologies such as DLSS 3, Frame Generation and should be great for gamers who do not mind gaming at 1080p.
As per Asus' tradition, the ROG Strix and Dual cards will be available in OC and non-OC versions. At the time of writing, not much has been shared about the ProArt version except that it will come with a three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud (which costs around USD238.47/SGD322/MYR1,112).
The ProArt version makes it a good choice for content creators who want that full ProArt ecosystem of motherboards, displays and peripherals.
In terms of its build and design, the ROG Strix GeForce 4060 is identical to the ROG Strix GeForce 4060 Ti. It has the same cyberpunk aesthetic, is the same size and also has the same MaxContact heatsink and Axial-tech fans.
One of the differences is that the ROG Strix GeForce 4060 only comes with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and does not have a 16GB version.
The other difference comes in the clock speeds of both cards. The OC edition of the ROG Strix GeForce 4060 has a base clock speed of 2,670MHz (4060 Ti: 2,685MHz) and can reach 2,700MHz (4060 Ti: 2,715MHz) in OC mode.
As for the non-OC edition of the ROG Strix GeForce 4060, it has a base clock speed of 2,460MHz (4060 Ti: 2,535MHz) that hits up to 2,490MHz (4060 Ti: 2,565MHz) in OC mode.
On the side of the Dual GeForce RTX 4060, it is also very similar to the Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in that it is available in Black or White and also features the same vented aluminium backplate, 0dB technology, and two 11-blade Axial-tech fans.
Again, the main difference is in the clock speeds. The non-OC edition has clock speeds that are similar to the non-OC edition of the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4060, while the OC edition has a base clock speed of 2,505MHz (4060 Ti: 2,565MHz) that reaches up to 2,535MHz (4060 Ti: 2,595MHz) in OC mode.
Finally, Asus has only shared with us the pricing for the OC Editions of the ROG Strix and Dual variants. Here are the prices for these graphics cards for Singapore and Malaysia:
- ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4060 OC Edition: SGD659 / MYR1,999
